While Father's Day is a special day reserved to celebrate fathers all over the world for all their hard work and love towards their children, some are using the opportunity to shade their estranged spouses and baby daddies.

Earlier on, Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe, had taken to Instagram to share a rather shady Father's Day message on her page. Although she didn't specify who the message was for, she claimed to have been raising her kids 'alone'.

Her message sparked several reactions on social media as many people assumed she was referring to her her ex-husband Lanre Gentry.

Her ex-husband, Lanre Asiwaju, didn't take well to the message and also took to Instagram to react to the message with a message of his own. He wrote, “Happy father’s day to me, I thank God for my life and I genuinely love my kids and I take good care of them, from paying their school fees and taking full responsibilities including my Juwon Gentry and even Mitchell, I have proof and I will never stop taking care of them, once again happy fathers day to me and I am proud to say that.”

He also took to the comment section of her post to challenge her reason for celebrating herself on Father's Day when he has been taking care of their kids. The actress and mother of two later replied him saying, "Happy Fathrer's Day to you Daddy Juwon"
