Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is preparing a £60m bid for Brazil’s Willian during this summer as the former Chelsea boss seeks a reunion with his former player, reports suggest.

The Red Devils’ Portuguese manager signed the 29-year-old Brazil international from Ukraine’s Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013, while at Stamford Bridge, but is now eager to take the highly-rated midfielder to Old Trafford.

The FA Cup winner was in action for the Selecao in their 1-1 draw with Switzerland’s on Sunday evening, but played 20 games for the Blues’ in their Premier League campaign last term.

Despite been crowned Chelsea’s Players’ Player of the Year in May, Willian hinted that he was not finding life on the bench interesting.

According to the UK Daily Mail, the Portuguese manger’s interest in Willian dates back to last winter transfers, but after making all the necessary arrangements’, eggheads at the Stamford Bridge refused to sanction the move.

Monrinho, is now hoping that Willians’ addition will boost Manchester United’s forward line in the new campaign after the Red Devils’ were the lowest scoring team in the Premier League’s top four last campaign.

On the other hand, the Brazilian has 24 months left on his current deal at Chelsea.

Reacting on Fred's switch to the Premier League before the commencement of the on-going 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia, the Selecao top star described the Old Trafford side as “one of the best teams in the world”.

“Of course (Fred can make an impact), no doubt about that. He has a lot of qualities,” the Chelsea player was quoted as saying before jetting off for the Mundial.

“He can improve (them) a lot. He goes to one of the best teams in the world. I am happy for him. I hope he does well at Manchester United.

“He is very happy to come to the Premier League to play. We talked a little bit about that.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported that Seria A giants, Juventus are ready to battle Manchester United for Arsenal’s £35m-rated Aaron Ramsey.

Juve wants Ramsey to form a dynamic new midfield partnership with Liverpool ace Emre Can.

And it is believed that United boss Jose ­Mourinho has also identified ­Ramsey as his preferred replacement for unhappy Paul Pogba should the Frenchman quit Old ­Trafford this summer.
