Meet Mexican grandmother whose blessings gave World Cup team victory against Germany

In the world of football, we have seen all kinds of charms and supernatural remedies that are said to inspire or give teams that extra push of fortune to go forth and claim victory.

The world witnessed how Mexico, underdogs in the World Cup 2018, came face to face with the might of the Germans, world defending champions, and defeated them 1-0 on Sunday, June 17.

Following the victory social media was abuzz and the tournament had finally come to life with Mexico defying the odds and winning Germany in their match opener, something unseen since 1982.

And as much as El Tri coach Juan Carlos Osorio had a solid strategy, he might have one grandmother to thank for their victory on Sunday.
