Real Madrid Croatian star, Mateo Kovacic has disclosed that he will be seeking a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, thereby leaving the duo of Tottenham and Manchester United on his trail, reports suggest.
According to the UK Sun report, citing sources at Spain’s newspaper, Marca, the 24-year used the news channel to reveal his intentions ahead of the summer transfer season.
Under former Los Blancos manager, Zinedine Zidane, the midfielder struggled to pin down a starter’s shirt, but has continued to win new suitors’ from the English topflight.
But the midfielder, who is currently with Croatia’s Blazers at the ongoing football fiesta in Russia insists the urge for regular football, is the reason de decided to quit the Santiago Bernabeu.

"I want to play more and the best thing is to leave Madrid.
"I love football and being on the pitch, I want the opportunity to be a starter for another team.
"I think that in Real Madrid all the players are important.
"The problem is that for a young player it is difficult to have continuity and without that continuity I will never be able to show my potential.
"When I do not play, I am not happy.
"These three years in Madrid, with some incredible team-mates, winning trophies... but I have not been completely happy because my contribution to all that has not been the maximum and it's something I want to change.
"I've been in Madrid for three years and I have not played too much and that's something that has affected my status in the national team.
"It's something that does not make me happy, that's why it's best to change teams,” noted the midfielder, who has a £44 million release clause in his present deal.
The Croatian has enjoyed the privileges of winning the Champions League three times was with the Los Blancos as well as other domestic and international awards.
At the last count, Kovacic is the fifth Croatian player, after Robert Prosinečki, Davor Šuker, Robert Jarni and Luka Modrić, to play for the Galaticos.
