Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday, June 25, visited Plateau state on a condolence and on the spot visit to assess the damage of the attack in the state.
Following his visit, Osinbajo described the killings as despicable, saying the perpetrators must be brought to justice.
The vice president who made the statement on his official Facebook page, also assured the general public that these kind of actions cannot be allowed to stand.
He said: "Today, I visited Plateau on a condolence and on the spot visit after yesterday's despicable attacks and murder. The perpetrators of this mindless killings will face justice.
"On behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari, I met with representatives of the different sides in the conflicts to communicate the FGs stance on the heinous acts and inform them that the perpetrators will be dealt with severely.
"The federal government will ensure that this travesty does not stand."
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Osinbajo had visited Plateau state over the killing of 86 people in various villages in Riyom local government area of Plateau.
The Plateau state commissioner of information, Yakubu Dati, had disclosed this in Jos, the state capital. He had said the vice president was expected to land at the Hiapang airport and address the leaders immediately.
