On Monday, June 25, a woman was accused of being a witch after she mysteriously appeared in a police barrack in Sapele, Delta state. The woman who was detained by the police was later arraigned in front a of a magistrate court.
NAIJ.com has gathered that the children of the woman have come to her rescue, claiming that their mother is not a witch. The children reportedly stormed the court on Monday to reveal that their mother is mentally deranged.
According to Sapele Olofofo Unugbragada Facebook page, the woman is not a stranger in Sapele. It was gathered that many people had seen her loitering the environment the night before the incident.
The woman is said to be married with grown children who reportedly came to her defense in court. It was also reported that she lives with her family at Anegbe Lane, off Abeke road in Sapele.
Sapele Olofofo Unugbragada reported that the woman had been battling with mental problem for years. She was said to have been taken to different local medical institutions and churches.

Her children, claimed that she had wondered away from home two days ago. One of her sons said: "We only got information in the early hours of yesterday that our mother landed mysteriously into an apartment and that when she was being questioned how she got there, she said she was flying from Benin from the coven but fire fell on her feathers and she landed where she was seen."

After her children stormed the court, the presiding judge reportedly requested for proof that she is mentally deranged but the children who had be taking their mother to local medical practitioners could not provide one. The court reportedly adjoined the case to Friday, July 27.
