- A Croatian fan based in Nigeria, Elvis Krivokuca, believes Super Eagles can beat Argentina
- Krivokuca believes it will be totally unfair if Argentina qualify at the expense of Nigeria going by the quality of football they have played at the World Cup
- A draw for the Super Super Eagles may be enough to see them qualify should Iceland fail to beat Croatia
As Nigeria get ready to battle it out against Argentina, the Super Eagles have been tipped to qualify alongside Croatia for a last-16 spot at the World Cup.
This follows supports from a Croatia fan based in Nigeria, Elvis Krivokuca, who believes the Super Eagles have what it takes to beat Lionel Messi-led Argentina when both teams file out at the Krestovsky stadium in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday, June 26.
Speaking exclusively to NAIJ.com, Krivokuca believes it will be totally unfair if Argentina qualify at the expense going by the quality of football they have shown at the World Cup.

He said when asked who he tips to progress into the last 16 alongside Group D table toppers Croatia: "I believe Nigeria have what it takes to make it into the knockout stage. They showed great quality in the second half of their tie against Iceland. They played with so much cohesion and discipline. That is one thing Argentina have failed to do at this World Cup, they have played really bad despite having a player like Messi.
"You see small teams like Peru and Iran play very good football but you cannot say the same for Argentina. Countries like Holland and Italy are not at the World Cup because they were not good enough, so it won't be too early for Argentina to go home because they have been bad. This is the World Cup."
According to Krivokuca, Nigeria should take a cue from his country's display against Argentina if they want to get a good result against the South Americans.
He said: "To stop Argentina, you need to first stop Messi, that is what we (Croatia) did. I expect to see at least two Nigerian players marking him (Messi). However, I don't expect Nigeria to sit back, they should attack Argentina. The best form of defense is attack, and I believe that is how to stop Argentina. Croatia did it and I believe Nigeria can do it. I would love to see Croatia and Nigeria make it into the knockout stage."
On Croatia chances at the World Cup, Krivokuca said: "We have a very good team and not just individual players. Our coach Dalic has done really well despite him taking the job in a short period. I believe Croatia can get as far as the final if we keep playing the way we are playing. Mexico also is another team I believe can go far at this World Cup.
"Spain and Portugal are just big names but I don't see them going far."
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com earlier reported that Nigeria international Ahmed Musa has vowed to take revenge on Argentina when they come face to face with the Super Eagles.
A draw for Gernot Rohr's men can see them progress into the last 16 and hand the South Americans a humiliating homecoming.
