A 70-year-old ex-military man has reportedly committed suicide in Ore town, Odigbo local government area of Ondo state.
Boluwaji Adenugba, Punch reports reportedly shot himself on Tuesday, June 26, during an argument with his daughter.
It was gathered that Adenugba had returned home from the hunting when a disagreement ensued between him and his daughter.
While reasons for his action is yet to be ascertained, a source within the community said the ex-military officer rushed into his room during the argument with his daughter.
The source said: “As the argument was ongoing, he rushed into his room in annoyance and locked the door from the back. He later shot himself dead with a dane gun in his room.
“When neighbours heard the gunshot, they rushed to the room, forced the door open and saw him in a pool of blood."
The source also said that the remains of Adenugba had been deposited in a morgue in the town.

Confirming the incident, the Ondo state spokesperson, Femi Joseph, said: “We have commenced investigation into the matter."
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that an 18-year old girl committed suicide after realising she failed her Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board examination.
The girl, simply identified as Juliet Loveth lived with her family in Ekiugbo, Ughelli North local government area of Delta state.
She reportedly took her life after she discovered she scored 168 in her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
