Kemi Olunloyo abandons Christianity for Islam

- Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo is no longer a part of Christendom

- She recently took to her Instagram page to say that she will be joining the Islamic religion

- The journalist also added that Christianity has failed to give her the peace she needs

Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo who is known for being controversial shared her recent plans with fans via her Instagram page.

According to the her, she is leaving Christianity for Islam as she no longer finds peace with the religion.

She added that she has been Catholic all her life but the religion is no longer appealing to her as she finds Islam more comforting to her problems.

Legit.ng had reported earlier that the blogger narrowly escaped an incident that could have been tragic on May 2018. She took to social media to reveal that she was struck by lightning.

The controversial journalist shared a tweet announcing her ordeal. She noted that she immediately dove to the ground when the lightning struck and hit the table she had been washing on.

Olunloyo stated that her heart stopped for twenty seconds before she was revived. She said: "This morning at 8:06am I was struck by lightning behind my house in an early morning storm. It was a ⚡bolt the whole city saw. I dived to the ground fast before it hit the ground. It hit the table I was washing on. My heart stopped for 20 secs and was revived. #hnnenvironment."
