Nigerian Army neutralises 4 Boko Haram insurgents in Borno state, recovers items (photos)

- Troops of the Nigerian Army neutralised four suspected Boko Haram terrorists in Borno state

- They also recovered some items from the suspected insurgents

Troops of operation Lafiya Dole while on clearance operation at Gawasa village in Guzamala local government area of Borno state on Wednesday, June 27, neutralised suspected Boko Haram terrorists terrorising the area.

The director Army public relations, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, disclosed this on Friday, June 29, via the official Facebook page of the Nigerian Army.

Legit.ng gathered that four members of the terrorists were neutralised during the operation while several Items were recovered.

The items include:

  2. Three motorcycle engines
  3. Five motorcycle tubes
  4. Two motorcycle tyres
  5. 50 litres of premium spirit
  6. Two bags of flour
  7. One bag of rice
  8. 100 loaves of bread
  9. 60 Containers of 5-litre vegetable oil
  10. Four cartons of detergent
  11. Some quantity of nails
  12. Phone chargers
  13. Extension box
  14. Stabilizer
  15. Some quantity of drugs

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported over 2000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Guzamala extraction living in Bakassi IDP Camp in Maiduguri on Tuesday, June 19, commenced movement to return to their original homeland in Guzamala local government area of Borno state.

Colonel Onyema Nwachukwu, the deputy director of public relations, Theatre Command operation Lafiya Dole, made this known in a statement made available to Legit.ng.

The IDPs numbering about 2,043 individuals, making up 378 households constitute the first batch of IDPs who willingly expressed the desire to return to their communities to resettle and resume their traditional occupation of farming and fishing, as well as other socio-economic activities.
