Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard has thrown a jibe at France following Belgium's ouster at the semifinal stage of this year's FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Barcelona star Samuel Umtiti scored the only goal of the match in the second half after heading into the net an Antoine Griezmann's corner in the 51st minute.
However, the Red Devils' efforts for the rest of the game were unproductive as they await the loser of the second semifinal clash between Croatia and England to play for Bronze.
The French team played defensive football all through the game and the Real Madrid touted attacker said he was satisfied losing with his country than winning with the Didier Deschamps' side.
Losing their first game in this tournament seem very painful for Hazard as they were just one step away from winning their first ever global football title.
Having crashed out of the 2014 edition of the World Cup and Euro 2016 at the quarter-final stage.
"I prefer to lose with this Belgium than win with that France." Hazard was quoted by GiveMeSport after the match.
Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was also disappointed with Didier Deschamps tactics int he game, saying: "France have played anti-football," the goalkeeper said.
"I have not yet experienced that a striker plays so far from goal. It’s their right to play like that... but it’s not nice to see.

"Not only the French tactics, but the referee... he didn’t call well at all."
While Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne was a little different in his criticisms of their nemesis at this edition of the championship.
He insisted that he is not angry at their opponent, saying he plays against this kind of opposition in the Premier League.

"Have I been annoyed by France? No, I play at City," he said.
"I play against teams that play so defensively 90% of the time. That is football. What they do, they do well. Both teams have had opportunities. That one goal makes the difference."
Belgium got their campaign off to a bright start following their 3-0 victory over Panama and defeated Tunisia 5-2.
They defeated England 1-0 in their last Group G clash, while they beat Japan and Brazil at the round of 16 and quarterfinal stages 3-2 and 2-1 respectively.
