Minister of youths and sports summons NYSC DG over Adeosun's certificate saga

- Minister of youths and sports, Solomon Dalung, has summoned the director-general of NYSC

- Dalung said he invited the NYSC DG to get information on the allegation against Kemi Adeosun

- The minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun, has been accused of forging her NYSC certificate

The minister of youths and sports, Solomon Dalung, has invited the director-general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Suleiman Kazaure, over the alleged forged exemption certificate of Kemi Adeosun, the minister of finance.

Dalung said he invited the DG to get first hand information from the DG on what transpired and how far the scheme had gone with the investigation.

The minister promised to brief Nigerians on the matter after meeting with the NYSC DG, Daily Trust reports.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, said that the government has already spoken on the controversy surrounding the alleged forgery of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificate by Kemi Adeosun.

The minister of finance was accused of submitting a forged NYSC exemption certificate during her screening process.

Mohammed spoke on Wednesday, July 11, saying there was nothing else to add. “The government has spoken. NYSC is part of the government and I have nothing to add to what the NYSC has said," he added.
