Super Eagles star Shehu Abdullahi has allegedly been accused of battering his wife Sumayya Mustapha over a phone call issue.
The defender was part of coach Gernot Rohr's team that crahsed out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia after failing to gather enough points to see them through to the next round.
He started the opening game against Croatia which ended 2-0 in favour of this year's finalists of the competition and never saw any action after that.
However, the problem, according to Instablog happened on Saturday, July 14, in Sokoto at the couple’s residence in Sokoto.
It was said that Sumayya was receiving a call but immediately dropped the call when her husband came into her room.
She however refused to pick subsequent calls from probably the same number as it was reported that Shehu always eavesdrop on her phone calls with friends and family.
