Ahead of the 2019 presidential election, a northern association, Buhari Osinbajo Dynamic Support Group, has lent his quota of encouragement to further fuel the momentum of optimism by assuring President Muhammadu Buhari of securing not less than 40 million votes for him.
A group, known as Buhari Osinbajo Dynamic Support Group, has promised to mobilise 40 million votes for President Muhammadu Buhari and Osinbajo in the 2019 general elections, Daily Trust reports.
The promise was revealed by Alhaji Musa Ahmad Azare, the northeast coordinator of the group, in his speech to newsmen at the end of a failed northeast sensitisation rally in the Azare headquarters of Katagum local government area of Bauchi state.
Azare said that the rally, which was halted by security personnel, was organised to sensitize the president's supporters who have Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to vote for him,
He added that the group will also encourage eligible voters and supporters of the president who are yet to register and obtain their PVCs to do so before the expiration of the date stipulated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Also, he said that the group had through its mobilisation and contacts received the assurance of over 20 million voters throughout Nigeria.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com reported that while many Nigerians were glad that the president would seek re-election in 2019 and expressed readiness to support him, others were of the opinion that the president should not have sought re-election, saying that he would be defeated just like his predecessor.
