Cristiano Ronaldo’s mum Dolores Aveiro has denied trying to persuade her son to rejoin Manchester United instead of moving to Juventus.

According to UK Sun report citing SFR Sport sources, the 33-year-old Portuguese superstar reunited with family members’ moment after completing the £99million switch from Los Blancos to Serie A champions Juventus.

Ronaldo penned a four-year deal and will earn about £500,000-a-week with the Old Lady.

His mum, Dolores Aveiro, previously hinted that she would fancy seeing the forward return to Old Trafford, where he spent six years before heading to the Santiago Bernabeu in a £80m switch.

On the other hand, the Premier League side reportedly were considering equallying Juve’s offer before deciding to jettison the idea.

"Every time I go to Paris, everyone treats me very well.

"If I'm telling you the truth, I wouldn't mind, but I would prefer him to return to Manchester,” Dolores previously told SFR Sport.

However, she rejected embarking on any move trying to persuade Ronaldo to rejoin Manchester United.

"It's a lie that I wanted him to return to Manchester United. It's not true.

"I'm very happy with his choice. It's a very happy day for all of us. My son will make Juve even bigger.

"This is a new adventure and a new life. He enjoyed it at Real Madrid but he needed other challenges,” she said.

Interestingly, Ronaldo left behind a club record of 450 goals for the Galaticos as well as winning four UEFA Champions Leagues and two La Liga titles.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner also captained Portugal to success during their campaign at Euro 2016.

"I want to win. I want to be the best. Who knows, maybe I will be awarded the Ballon d'Or again but things will happen naturally.

"It was difficult to win it in Manchester and Real Madrid, but maybe here? We will see,” Ronaldo submitted after joining Juventus.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Juventus new star Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed the standing ovation he received from fans in Turin the Champions League last season convinced him to join the Old Lady.

The 33-year-old then at Real Madrid scored twice against his new club including an astonishing overhead-kick in the 3-0 quarter-final win in Turin.

The Portuguese star's heroics stunned the globe, with Juve fans graciously standing and applauding the move which Ronaldo has now revealed made him appreciate them.
