Popular Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun has called on fellow celebrities to use their talents to impact the public positively rather than use to impact people negatively. The actor also stated that some celebrities live fake lives because of fans.
In an interview with The Punch, the actor expressed that the pressure to please fans can sometimes push some celebrities into living fake lives.
The experienced actor noted that many celebrities are unable to cope with the expectations from the public and end up involving themselves in all sorts of things just to keep up with the trend.
He said: “The pressure people put on celebrities can push some of them to get involved in some deals that they are not supposed to do. They force them to live fake lives.”
According to him, he doesn't believe that people should be judged based on their appearance. He added that people should be judged and accepted based on their intellectual prowess.

Balogun said: “It is always better to be yourself. I am myself, I don’t believe in the saying that you are addressed the way you are dressed. I believe that people should be judged based on their intellectual prowess and not by their appearance. I can ride okada from Lagos to Ibadan. I believe in doing what makes me happy.”
