Smart Adeyemi, a former senator from Kogi west senatorial district, has has urged Nigerians to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019 general election.
Adeyemi noted that despite the enormous challenges facing the Nigeria, President Buhari had shown that he had the required capacity to face them.
The former senator who said this during a tour of the Yagba federal constituency of the senatorial district argued that the APC remained the best option for the people of the state and the country at large, Tribune reports.
“I want to assure that in 2019, APC will still be in power at the national level. We don’t rule out the fact that there are issues just like past governments.
“APC is still far better than other parties. If anybody tells you otherwise, it’s just a blatant lie. It is not in the interest of this country for APC to lose out.
Going further, he said that despite the initial challenges, the Nigerian economy was picking up.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Umar Ardo, said the party remained the only political party in Nigeria capable of removing a sitting government.
Ardo said this in an interview published on Monday, July 23, that the party intends to bring about regime change by defining itself and sponsoring credible candidate to the electorates.
