- Blues have snubbed 3 offers from Spanish champions as they look to keep Willian at Stamford Bridge
- The Brazilian reportedly is not pushing for an exit as he loves life in London
- Chelsea are asking for twice the sum of £30m they bought Willian five seasons ago under the noses of Tottenham
Premier League side Chelsea are not eager to sell star midfielder Willian to Barcelona unless the Spanish champions splash out a massive £70m for the Brazilian, according to a UK Sun report.
The West London outfit have turned down a third offer of £55m for Willian as they want more cash from the Spanish side.
New Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is expected to give in finally and allow the Brazilian leave the English Premier League for the Spanish topflight.
The 29-year-old Willian is currently on vacation until the first week of August after representing Brazil at the just concluded FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Interestingly, the Brazilian is not pushing for an exit as he loves life in London but the Spanish side are looking to catch in on the player’s unhappiness after a difficult season at Chelsea.
Willian was in and out of the Blues squad despite decent performances and grew disappointed under former Italian boss Antonio Conte.
Interestingly, the Brazilian wiped out an image of his ex-manager from a picture of the Chelsea team celebrating May’s FA Cup success.
Already, the decision of new boss not willing to communicate with any of his senior squad members still on vacation with the intention of convincing them to remain with Chelsea could end up badly for the Italian and hand the Spanish an edge in this transfer.
However, the Blues are asking for twice the sum on a player they snapped under the noses of London rivals Tottenham for £30m five seasons ago.
The report further added that if the switch to Nou Camp goes through
Willian will likely head straight to work with the La Liga side and not report back to West London.
The same also applies to the duo of Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois who are equally linked with the Los Blancos.
Another Chelsea player expected to be following Willian on the way out is Davide Zappacosta.
Serie A side Inter Milan need the Italian full-back on loan with a view of turning it to a permanent £25m deal.
Chelsea have already splashed £57.4m on midfielder Jorginho which means he may need to offload fringe players like Zappacosta on to save cost.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Chelsea are reportedly offering Willian a new deal at Stamford Bridge with Barcelona and Manchester United interested in the winger.
The Brazilian is believed to want to leave the club with the Blues having rejected two bids from Barcelona.
The west London club have been adamant the forward is not for sale with Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois’ future also uncertain.
