- French star Anthony Martial wants to join either of Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur this summer
- The former Monaco star has had limited playing time at Manchester United since the arrival of Jose Mourinho in 2016
- He prefers to remain in the Premier League as his manager wants him out of the EPL to avoid clashing against him in the nearest future
France international Anthony Martial has reportedly told Manchester United chiefs to allow him join one of the Premier League clubs interested in him before the close of the transfer window.
The 22-year-old isn't happy with the bench warming role he played most part of the 2017-18 season and he is seeking a move away from Old Trafford this summer.
Owing to his limited playing time with the Red Devils last term, he was snubbed from the French team that lifted the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia this month.
Hence, he is ready to leave the club, and will prefer to stay in the EPL as against United's wishes according to the Sun.
The tabloid reports that Jose Mourinho will allow the player leave for another club in a different league entirely as he fears Martial will come back to haunt him if he stays in England.
However, the forward seem very delighted playing in England and would like to speak to London suitors Chelsea and Tottenham.
He has just one more year on his current contract - which means he can walk out of the team as a free agent next summer if they refuse to grant his wishes this summer.
Martial joined Man United in 2015 from French League side AS Monaco in a four year deal valued at €60 million and he functioned more under former boss Louis van Gaal.
He has a total of 24 goals in 86 appearances for the Red Devils as was part of the team that won the Europa League title for Jose Mourinho in the 2016-17 season.
NAIJ.com previously reported that Anthony Martial has given his agent the green light to get him a new club at the end of the ongoing Premier League season.
The Frenchman is said to be tired and frustrated with lack of active playing time this season at Old Trafford and wants to leave Manchester United.
Anthony Martial has started just 16 matches this season despite making 28 appearances all round.
The arrival of Chile international Alexis Sanchez at Old Trafford has also pushed the former Monaco man further down the pecking order.
