Manchester United have been dealt a major blow as Alex Sandro has decided to stay at Juventus, The Sun quoting Tuttosport.

The Italian news media outlet claim the surprise arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo looks to be a game changer for the Brazilian who is keen to play in the same team as the Portuguese superstar.

Sandro joined the Italians giants three years ago from Portuguese side FC Porto and wanted to leave last summer for Chelsea.

But after a poor outing by Tite’s Brazil World Cup squad, Sandro is now hopeful for an improved new contract with the Serie A giants.

Despite adding Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk and defender Diogo Dalot from Porto Mourinho has been desperate to add a winger to fit into his 4-3-3 system.
