A young man has taken to his social media handles to thank God for sparing his life. Ibrahim Ademola Fashola in 2016 survived a gas explosion.
Aside from thanking God for a new life, the younger brother to minister for power, works and housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, also seized the opportunity to preach about love and forgiveness.
It could be recalled that on August 30, 2016, Ibrahim sustained severe burns after a gas explosion in his apartment.
He shared a before and after picture of him on Twitter with the caption: “1 year 10 months #Grateful #BurnsSurvivor LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE (A lot).” He shared the same tweet on his Instagram handle with the caption: “#Grateful In the blink of an eye, everything can change. So forgive often, and love hard. You never know when you will not have the chance again. #Alhamdullilahi #BurnsSurvivor.”

Ibrahim shared a post of his recovery process with the caption: “#Alhamdullahi #TheGiftOfHealing. #BurnsSurvivor. I woke up today reflecting on the journey I have been on so far. I didn’t choose it, but I have learnt to embrace it. I documented many parts of my treatment in the last year and 10months. (A lot of pics are too gory to post). It hasn’t been easy but I am happy to be alive. #StillHealing #MelaninePopping #LiveLaughLove.”
