- Arsenal are currently in Singapore after they pit finishing touches to their strategies for the coming league season
- They were defeated 4-2 after penalties by Europa League champions Atletico Madrid in a preseason friendly on Thursday, July 26
- Meanwhile, they have launched their 3rd away kit for next term at a fan event as part of their summer program
Premier League giants Arsenal have launched their third away shirt for the 2018-19 league season.
The Gunners unveiled the Puma kitted jersey at an exclusive fan event in Singapore as one of their preseason preparations.
At the event, a number of the north London players modelled the jersey at The Esplanade in a bid to show fans the new shirt - which is turquoise and features a “W” pattern (a tribute to legendary manager Herbert Chapman’s WM formation - the away kit features the M).
Superstars like Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hector Bellerin and Petr Cech were all pictured wearing the new kit.
This is the fifth straight season that Puma have kitted the Gunners since their 20-year deal with Nike ended in 2014.
Meanwhile, Fly Emirates are unshaken as they remain the shirt sponsor for a 13th season.
Arsenal finished outside of the top four team on the English Premier League table last term - which means that they will be campaigning in the Europa League next season.
They have a new manager, Unai Emery, who took over from Arsene Wenger after 22 years as the head coach of the team.
However, he has been able to make some decent signings during the ongoing transfer window as he makes his debut official debut as the coach against current champions Manchester City.
NAIJ.com previously reported that Unai Emery tasted his first defeat as Arsenal manager after losing 3-1 on penalties to Atletico Madrid following a 1-1 draw on regulation time.
Argentine striker Luciano Vietto scored a fine header towards the end of the first half and Smith Rowe got the equalizer immediately after the restart.
The Gunners eventually lost the match on penalties, as Atletico substitute goalkeeper Antonio Adan saved from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Joel Willock and Eddie Nketiah before scoring the deciding spot-kick.
