We thank God Obasanjo admitted PDP's failure - Keyamo

- Festus Keyamo, renowned lawyer and director strategic communications and official spokesperson of President Buhari 2019 presidential campaign has replied to Obasanjo's decision to support whoever will lead Nigeria to its desired future

- Keyamo said that by such statement, Obasanjo has implied that he and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) failed Nigeria while he was in power

A renowned legal practitioner, Senior Advocate of Nigeria and director strategic communications and official spokesperson of President Buhari 2019 Presidential Campaign , Festus Keyamo, has reacted to former president Olusegun Obasanjo's statement that he will support anyone who will take Nigeria to the promised land.

In a tweet published on Friday, July 27, Keyamo said that Obasanjo did well to have implied by his statement that he did not take Nigeria to where it should be when he was in power.

Referring to the former president, Keyamo on his Twitter page wrote: "We thank God he has finally admitted he and the PDP failed to take us to the promised land by this statement, because he was former President himself...’2019: I'll support anyone that can lead Nigeria to Promise Land."

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Obasanjo said that Nigeria was not short of leadership having listened to the speeches of Turaki and Boni Haruna, the director general of the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki campaign organisation.

He said: “Listening to you, I believe you have got the concerns of Nigerians today in the area of security, economy and cohesion. Anybody who will lead Nigeria to the promised land will have my support."

Speaking on the backdrop of the siege laid to the residences of the Senate president and his deputy, Obasanjo said he felt embarrassed by a number of things happening in the country especially in these days that the social media could post them in real time.
