- Nigerian Twitter users have said that Yomi Shogunle, the head of police public complaints rapid response unit, does not deserve his office
- This position was prompted by Shogunle's recent comment on social media concerning the move to end the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS)
- The social media subscribers claimed that Shogunle is arrogant and insensitive to the alleged criminal activities of some security operatives in the squad
Many Nigerians on social media, Twitter precisely, have called for the deactivation of the account of the head of police public complaints rapid response unit, Yomi Shogunle.
The heated reactions from Nigerian Twitter subscribers started on Thursday, July 26, after he took to his handle and tweeted: “186 million Retweets to #EndSARS. Oya let’s go!”
The reaction was based on the widespread perception that he was being insensitive to the ordeals of citizens who have suffered untold brutality at the hands of some officials of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).
