England youngster Emile Smith-Rowe has signed a new long tern deal with his Premier League outfit Arsenal this summer.
The 18-year-old has been impressive for the Gunners since they got their preseason campaign started in Singapore - scoring a superb goal in his side's win over Atletico Madrid.
He showcased his capabilities with a magnificent strike against Norwich City Under-18s last season, following some close control and an elegant flick.
Reacting to the new deal, new Gunners boss Unai Emery is pleased with the gesture - saying the youngster has been superb for the north Londonders so far.
He added that the midfielder is a hard worker and might be in his squad for the coming season.
" I am pleased with Emile’s contribution so far this pre-season. He is working very hard and has lots of potential.
"I look forward to working with him and the other young players and helping them to develop as Arsenal players.”
The England youth international was part of the team that won the FIFA Under-17 World Cup last year in India and is looking forward to pushing for a first-team action this season.
He said: "To be honest it feels great for me.
"It’s something I’ve always dreamt of since I was young, so to sign a new contract with Arsenal, I’m just so happy and it feels surreal at the moment.
"Knowing how Arsenal play and knowing the background of the club is something I really look up to.
"The new head coach really inspires me so hopefully I can get chances in the first team to prove how good I am."
"It’s so crazy! Training with the players that Arsenal have is a dream for me, something that I’ve been dreaming of since I was a kid.
"To get the opportunity to train and play with them on tour was just an unbelievable feeling for me."
The London-born kid is loving working with world-class talent like Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Henrikh Mkhitaryan who have welcomed him into the fold.
He added: "I just feel so much more comfortable, the players are so welcoming.
"No one’s tried to leave me out of the group or anything, so when I’m at Arsenal, it feels like a family. Everyone’s just so together and I think that’s helped me so much on and off the pitch."
