President Buhari had earlier met with some APC senators and national chairman of APC over the defections.

Meanwhile, a member of the APC Board of Trustees, Ismael Ahmed, said Nigerians now know better and will reject the PDP in the 2019 general elections.

Ahmed stated this during his appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday, July 25, in Abuja.

What we are interested in is the survival of this platform; Nigerians have rejected PDP over and over again and they will reject it in 2019, God’s willing,” he said.
