- Romelu Lukaku has offered his support for Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho
- Mourinho has been criticized recently ahead of the start of the 2018/19 EPL season
- The Belgium international says his boss at Old Trafford loves to win and not to lose
Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has defended his club's manager Jose Mourinho who has been criticized ahead of the start of the 2018/19 Premier League season.
United boss Jose Mourinho has received lots of criticisms from pundits and fans following the Red Devils's unimpressive performance in their pre season tour.
The Club's transfer policy has also come under scrutiny from the Portuguese but Lukaku has defended his boss who he says cannot switch off his winning mentality.
"People need to understand that we play this game not to lose it. We play this game to win.
"When you lose, you get angry. When he is upset, he is the type of person that you can really see it.
"But that should be embraced because he is a manger and a coach that wants to win.
"If you can't deal with that, don't ask him questions because he shouldn't hide his personality to give a good public image." the Belgian international told Business Insider according to Mirror UK.
Last season, Manchester United failed to win any title and even lost the FA Cup final at Wembley against Chelsea.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Manchester United will start their campaign next season in the Premier League with a tie against former champions Leicester City.
Manchester City who won the Premier League title last season will start the defense of their title against Arsenal, while Chelsea will go head-to-head against Huddersfield Town.
