Breaking: Buhari arrives London for 10-day vacation

- President Buhari has arrived London for his two weeks working holiday

- The special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Garba Shehu, on Wednesday, August 1, said that his principal would leave Nigeria for London on Friday, August 3

- He had said that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo would be in acting capacity as the president while Buhari is away

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in London for a 10-day working holiday. Channels TV reports that the president left Abuja for London in the early hours of Friday, August 3.

NAIJ.com gathered that while the president is away, the vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, would be in acting capacity as the president.

NAIJ.com had previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari would on Friday, August 3, embark on a 10 working days holiday in the United Kingdom.

It was reported that this was revealed by the president's special assistant on media and publicity, Garba Shehu, in a tweet on Wednesday, August 1.

He said that that in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution, a letter has been transmitted to the president of the Senate, Bukola Saraki and the speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara to that effect.
