Eden Hazard to resume Chelsea training this week amid Real Madrid interest

- Eden Hazard is expected to resume training this week after post-World Cup holiday

- Real Madrid are yet to meet Chelsea's £180million evaluation for the playmaker

- The Spanish side are now considering promoting Marco Asensio to Cristiano Ronaldo’s role

Belgium playmaker Eden Hazard is ready to resume training with Chelsea this week despite speculations that he could still be at West London when the summer transfer window ends on Thursday.

According to a UK Daily Mail report, the Chelsea star has been linked all summer with a switch to Spanish giants Real Madrid who are keen to replace 5-time FIFA Ballon D'or Award winner Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, the Los Blancos are yet to match Chelsea's £180million price-tag and new club manager Maurizio Sarri has affirmed the Belgium Red Devils captain has confirmed he will be joining the team this week following extended holidays after the summer World Cup in Russia.

The 59-year-old football tactician appeared relaxed while commenting on about Hazard's future at the Premier League club, said: “I talked with him yesterday. We didn't talk about this. We talked only about “Can I arrive on Monday instead of Sunday?” In this moment there is no problem for Hazard.”

Interestingly, 30 days it had seemed a move to the Santiago Bernabeu was unavoidable with Hazard admitting that after six seasons at Chelsea “it might be time to discover something different”.

However, latest reports suggest the Los Blancos are no longer keen on the Belgian as they are now looking to promote Marco Asensio into the position vacated by Portugal star Ronaldo, who moved to Serie A champions Juventus.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Chelsea have reportedly told Spanish club Real Madrid that they are not ready to do business with them on the transfer of Belgium international Eden Hazard.

The Belgian star emerged as a transfer target for Real Madrid since last season, and Los Blancos' chiefs added more interest to sign him following his superb performances at the 2018 World Cup.
