- Thibaut Courtois could be on his way out of Chelsea before the start of the new EPL season
- Chelsea new coach Maurizio Sarri has stated that he will not stop him if he wants to leave
- The Belgium international has been a target for Spanish club Real Madrid
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has made it clear that he will not block the exit doors for Belgium international Thibaut Courtois if he wants to leave the Premier League side this summer.
Thibaut Courtois has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge since last two seasons with Spanish club Real Madrid interested in signing the goalkeeper.
Also, recently, his agent Christophe Henrotay told the Blues that they should allow his client to seal his dream move to Real Madrid before the close of the transfer window.
“I’m not interested in the agent and I want to hear Courtois. If Courtois tomorrow says to me the same as the agent, then I have to speak with my player of course. Because I only want players with very high levels of motivation,'' Sarri explained according to Guardian UK.
Thibaut Courtois is expected to resume training this week from his 2018 World Cup break where he helped his national team win bronze medals at the championship.
He was not available for the Blues on Sunday, August 5, as Premier League champions Manchester City defeated Chelsea 2-0 to win the Community Shield.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how reigning Premier League champions Manchester City won the 2018 Community Shield encounter after beating rivals Chelsea 2-0 at the Wembley stadium on Sunday, August 5.
Argentina international Sergio Aguero scored the two goals that condemned the Blues to a defeat in the 13th and 58th minute at the Wembley stadium.
