- Martial was not included in Manchester United's match against Bayern Munich
- The Frenchman remained at Carrington to undergo double-training sessions
- Jose Mourinho and Martial have been at logger-heads in the past few days
Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial was a notable omission in United's squad that lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich on Sunday night.
The 22-year-old has endured difficult times on the pitch, starting off by failing to make the cut for Didier Deschamps World Cup-winning squad.
The Frenchman's future has been shrouded in mystery, since then particularly after going absent on United's pre-season tour of the United States.
The France international opted to fly home to attend the birth of his son, Swan, and has now be fined two weeks' wages worth £180,000.
It meant Martial missed eight days of training and was subsequently not named in the Red Devils' team to play Bundesliga giant at the Allianz Arena.
However, it is reported Martial was forced to undertake a double-training session back at Carrington in order to get himself ready for action, if he remains at Old Trafford.
United's Portuguese managerJose Mourinho was left furious with the Frenchman after he refused to return to the club's pre-season tour of the US.
But the former Monaco star hit back and took to social media to write: "Thank you for all your posts.
"My little Swan is fine, for the mum it was harder but thanks to God she's better now.
"Sorry but my family will always come first... Back tomorrow in Manchester."
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Manchester United are set to offer Chelsea Anthony Martial for their Brazilian winger Willian to Old Trafford, The Sun quoting Mirror.
The France international is set for the exit as his relationship with boss Jose Mourinho has hit rock bottom.
