Senator Godswill Akapabio who is the Senate minority leader is set to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as he met Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja.
There has been report that the former governor of Akwa Ibom is set to defect to the APC.
He met Tinubu in Abuja on Monday, August 6.
Also present was APC chieftain, Yusuf Ali.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that as the minority leader of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio was reportedly planning to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) the lawmaker had met with Yemi Osinbajo, the country’s vice president.

Akpabio, a former governor of Akwa Ibom state, arrived the State House Villa by 3.06pm with Ita Enang, an aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on the National Assembly (Senate).
