A car has reportedly goes up in flames on Third Mainland Bridge, and it is said to be causing traffic jam for those heading to the Island.
A Twitter user identified as Nejeeb Bello Oyarese with the handle @NejeebBello, disclosed this on the social media platform on Wednesday, August 8.
NAIJ.com gathers that Oyarese advised road users plying the Third Mainland Bridge to seek alternative routes.
He tweeted: "Reports of a vehicle ablaze on the Third Mainland Bridge. The car on fire has caused almost an hour of standtill traffic for those heading to the Island. Please seek alternative routes, or just stay put."

Recall that fire incidents have been a reoccurrence in the news in the past few months, with properties worth millions of naira destroyed.
On the night of Thursday, February 1, a raging inferno razed over 600 shops at the old market in Bida, headquarters of Bida local government area of Niger state. The fire, which started at about 8.30pm, was said to have destroyed goods and other properties in the old market.
Before the Bida incident, on Friday, January 19, some residents of Gowon Estate, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Egbeda area of Lagos, lost valuables as a midnight fire engulfed three duplexes on 34 Road, B Close.
There was no casualty recorded in the incident but witnesses explained that the fire was first noticed at about 7.15pm in one of the duplexes before spreading to others.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that a new generation bank around Allen Avenue area of Lagos state, Stanbic IBTC, went up in flames on Tuesday, August 7.
According to reports, the bank was engulfed in fire as a result of a vehicle that had earlier gone up in flames.
