Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba hid his face and reportedly used a different entrance as he arrived their training base at Carrington on Wednesday.

United stars including Alexis Sanchez and Sergio Romero gestured to the waiting photographers, while Anthony Martial - who has endured a tumultuous summer - looked on.

However, Pogba was driven to the training ground by a chauffeur, and appeared to hide his face under a jacket when passing by journalists.

He also reportedly used a back entrance to gain access to the training ground, presumable to avoid photographers as best as possible.

The France international is set for crunch talks with Jose Mourinho amid claims he is ready to sign for Barcelona before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday.

The Spanish side made a sensational offer of £45million plus Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes for the World Cup winner, which was outrightly rejected by United.

Reports in Italy claim the Frenchman has already agreed terms with La Liga champions and is ready to earn £100million over five years.

Barcelona have the end of the month to get a deal for the 25-year-old over the line, despite the Premier League transfer window slamming shut this Thursday.

Manchester United therefore have little or no time to sign a replacement but have no intention of parting company with the former Juventus man.
