South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, was in Paarl in the Western Cape where he delivered a keynote address to commemorate Women's Day. In an area called Embokweni located in Paarl, a 98-year-old Nonini ''Mandungwa'' Adonis was receiving her refurbished 2-bedroom house two years after President Ramaphosa had promised her it would be refurbished.
The nonagenarian who suffers from severe arthritis was grateful for the gesture after she had given up her home would be ever fixed. The senior citizen was reduced to tears when she was given the refurbished house.
NAIJ.com learnt that the handover was part of the activities penciled down for Women's Day.
An emotional but grateful Mama Adonis received her refurbished home from the minister of human settlements.
