Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho has warned Manchester United he has them in his sights again.

The former Manchester City forward also reckons everyone at his old club will support in Friday night's Premier League opener at Old Trafford.

The 21-year-old scored the winner in the Manchester derby almost two years ago, and is determined to hit the back of the net at United's home ground again after rediscovering his best form this pre-season.

Iheanacho said: “I think everyone is looking forward to that game. Coming from Man City to Leicester and playing against Man United I think the City fans are going to support us in that game.

“I scored against United in the derby so it was a good experience and I am looking forward to hopefully doing it again.”

Iheanacho is in line to start against United ahead of England striker Jamie Vardy who just returned from a post-World Cup holiday.

Iheanacho netted for a third successive pre-season game on Saturday against Lille taking his tally to four goals this summer.

“If I am chosen for the game against United I have to keep my goal-scoring record and work hard for the team," said Iheanacho.

“I would like to be part of it and am looking forward to it. I think it is going to be a big season for the whole team and we are in good shape now.

“Last season it was difficult coming back from injury and trying to get the same fitness level. Sometimes things don’t go the way you want. But it is looking good this season.

“I am injury-free and will keep working hard and am looking forward to the games.

“The World Cup helped [He played in all three of Nigeria's games in Russia, starting twice] — we didn’t get to go through but it was a good experience and good fitness.”

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that English Premier League club Leicester City were held to a 1-1 draw by La Liga side Valencia on Wednesday evening, August 1.

Kelechi Iheanacho put the Foxes ahead but they were pegged back through a goal from former Queens Park Rangers loanee Daniel Parejo in the first-half.
