Paul Pogba post-match comments after Friday night's win against Leicester suggests and the Manchester United midfielder may not be completely happy.

The 25-year-old who just returned to training a few days ago was a surprise starter for United in their 2-1 win over the Foxes, where he scored the first goal.

Rumours of a move to Barcelona have surfaced in the past few days, but the Red Devils are unwilling to let the Frenchman leave this summer.

There have also been persistent murmurings of a broken relationship with Mourinho, with Pogba having failed to hit top form last season.

He demonstrated just how important he is to United on Friday night, scoring from the spot to put Mourinho's men in front early on and generally controlling play in the midfield.

Mourinho was quick to praise Pogba's monster performance at Old Trafford: "[It] was not hard [to pick Pogba from the start].

"The decision belonged to him, because Andreas Pereira comes from Valencia bench as a winger to play number six; Fred had 10 days training, Ukrainian league, comes direct to Old Trafford; Ander Herrera injured.

"I had only two options: Scott [McTominay] or Paul, but if I play Scott I play two kids and a new player, so I asked Paul and he put himself available for the team and he was very, very good for us."

However, Pogba posted a cryptic message on his social media account after the match, with his reference to "no matter what's going on" suggesting that something may not be quite right regarding his situation at the club.

He wrote: "I’ll always give my best to the fans and my teammates no matter what’s going on."

The World Cup winner also refused to mention Mourinho when talking to the press after the game, insisting he gives his all in every game for the fans, his team-mates and those that trust him.

He said: "Of course it makes me proud, it makes me happy to wear this [armband[ at a big club like Manchester United.

"Like I always say, I always give my best for the fans, for my team-mates, for the people that trust me."

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Manchester United defeated Leicester City by 2-1 in a Premier League opening fixture.

Paul Pogba scored a penalty after just three minutes as Luke Shaw made it 2-0 in the second half and Jamie Vardy left it late but it was not enough to get the draw for the Foxes as it ended 2-1.
