- Victor Moses happy with Chelsea's start to the new season
- The Blues defeated Huddersfield by a respective 3-0 margin
- The Nigerian international was brought in to replace Pedro
Super Eagles winger Victor Moses was delighted with Chelsea's first win of the season after overcoming Huddersfield Town by 3-0.
Goals from N’golo Kante, Jorginho and Pedro Rodriguez ensured Maurizio Sarri’s side kick-started their campaign on a winning note.
Moses came on as a second half substitute for Pedro in the 81st minute and he played a little role to help the Blues coast to victory against David Wagner’s men.
Overwhelmed by his side’s victory on Saturday, the 27-year-old took to social media to give his post-match thoughts.
“Great way to start the new season. Massive win! #CFC,” Moses tweeted.
Moses would be hoping to continue from where he stopped last term – as he made 28 appearances scoring three goals under ex-boss Antonio Conte.
Chelsea top the English Premier League with superior goals difference and they play host Arsenal in their next meeting at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Tottenham, Bournemouth, Watford and Crystal Palace recorded wins in their respective Premier League matches.
Maurizio Pochettino's side won 2-1 at Newcastle while Bournemouth had a 2-0 win over Cardiff City.
Watford and Crystal Palace also had 2-0 wins over Brighton and newly-promoted Fulham respectively.
