Wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha Buhari, has arrived Seoul ahead of her decoration as Doctor of Humanity by Sun Moon University tomorrow, Monday, August 13, 2018.
Recall that the Sun Moon University in South Korea awarded the president's wife with a honorary doctorate degree in humanities.
The award was disclosed by Professor Hong Young-Shik of the political science department of the university, who led a team to pay a courtesy visit on the wife of the president on Thursday, June 21, at the presidential villa.
Professor Hong said: “The humanitarian activities of Mrs. Buhari have caught the attention of the world and the Senate of the Sun Moon University, especially her outstanding work with women and children."
The letter conveying the award read: “I have been directed to notify you, Your Excellency, on the decision of the University to confer on you, a meritorious Doctor of Humanity (Hon. Causa).”
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari, expressed worry over the alarming rate of codeine consumption among Nigeria youths.
She called on relevant stakeholders to tackle the rising cases of drug abuse among youths in Nigeria.
Mrs Buhari, who expressed the concern on Tuesday, May 1, on her Instagram page, said it was alarming the rate at which the younger generation of Nigerians, especially in the north, engaged in substance abuse.
