Liverpool recorded a commanding 4-0 victory over West Ham at Anfield in their first Premier League fixture of the season.
As expected, the Reds were full of attacking in the first half and it did not take long before their star man Mohamed Salah got on the scoresheet.
A wonderful build-up from Jurgen Klopp's men as Naby Keita passed the ball to James Robertson on the left before the young defender delivered a low cross into the box for an easy tap-in for Salah.
The star-studded West Ham side created a couple of opportunities after going behind through Mario Arnautovic but his effort did not threaten Alisson Becker on goal.
Just before half-time Liverpool doubled the advantage with a similar build up play as James Milner slid in a cross from the right for Sadio Mane who made no mistake to make it 2-0.
In the 53rd minute, it was Mane again who beat the off-side trap and struck the ball first-time beating Lukasz Fabianski in goal to make it 3-0.
Manuel Pellegrini's side were no match for the free-flowing attacking flair of Liverpool as the London club could not create something meaningful in the final-third.
Liverpool finished with a flourish as Daniel Sturridge turned in the ball from a James Milner corner in the 88th minute after coming on for Salah for just 20 seconds. It became 4-0.
Klopp's side held on claim maximum points Liverpool began their quest for a Premier Leagure title since 1990 with a convincing win.
