- Want-away PSG star Rabiot turns down new deal to remain at the club for a long term
- His current deal will expire after the 2018-19 league season
- He made 49 appearances for the Parisians last term but still wants out of the club
Paris Saint Germain star Adrien Rabiot has reportedly rejected the new long term contract by the French League giants with his current deal set to expire at the end of this season.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and Barcelona this summer.
He will have a chance to leave the club next summer and decide the club he wants to join if he refuses to sign a new contract with the French club.
Sun Sport quoting l'Equipe reports that the midfielder was disappointed with his failure to make Didier Deschamps' squad for the World Cup, as Les Bleus went on to claim victory in Russia.
And he was claimed to have been frustrated by that decision as he withdrew himself from the standby list of the team.
Rabiot made 49 appearances for the Parisians last term as they won the Ligue 1 and Coupe de France double.
However, he opened his 2018-19 goal account for the club in their 3-0 demolition of Caen as they opened League 1 with a comfortable victory.
He was made captain by new boss Thomas Tuchel for their pre-season games in the International Champions Cup, while Thiago Silva resumed skipper's responsibilities for the win over Caen.
NAIJ.com previously reported that Adrien Rabiot was ready to commit his futute to PSG as he was said to be ready to pen a new deal with the Ligue 1 champions.
UK Sun citing ESPN revealed that the 23-year-old midfielder is now in the good books of new PSG manager Thomas Tuchel.
The France international has just 12 months left on his present contract at Parc des Princes and was frequently linked with a move away from the French topflight but managed to keep his options open.
