Former governor of Kano state and presidential aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was, once again, jeered with the shouts of 'Sai Buhari' at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.
Kwankwaso, who recently defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP was booed when he walked into a crowd chanting 'Sai Baba, sai Buhari', in a trending video shared by a Facebook user.
The 'Sai Buhari' shout is considered to be a rejection of Kwankwaso’s defection to the PDP as appellation (Sai Baba, Sai Buhari) is known to be solely reserved for President Muhammadu Buhari by his fawning supporters.
The undated but trending video clip shows Kwankwaso walking in company with others suspected to be his aides.
Some people soon levelled up with him, shouting 'Sai Baba, Sai Buhari' while Kwankwaso, in his trademark red cap with white stripes, walks on without responding.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had previously reported Supporters of Senator Kwankwaso’s political group, Kwankwansiyya Movement in Nasarawa state, on Wednesday, August 8, joined their leader by dumping the APC for the PDP.
The supporters of Kwankwaso stormed the state secretariat of the PDP and declared their defection from the APC with the symbolic burning of brooms.
The Kwankwassiya group in the state was led by Architect Aminu Dabo who represented Senator Kwankwaso.
