- Raheem Sterling shows off his new tattoo of himself and his son on his body
- The 23-year-old attacker scored the opening goal against Arsenal at the Emirates
- The Manchester City star has been offered a new contract with the Etihad outfit
Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling has revealed a new leg tattoo of himself and son Thiago sharing a kiss just a day after getting his season off to a flyer.
The 23-year-old was in superb form in City's match at the Emirates as he scored against Arsenal in a 2-0 win yesterday.
He revealed the inking of him and his son, just days after he shared a picture of himself and the youngster on which the tattoo is based.
The England attacker shared a snap of the design, which was produced by London-based artists Gabriel Tattoos.
The Liverpool star, whose fiancee Paige Milian gave birth to Thiago last year, posted: "Love n football duo @gabrieltattoos"
It remains unclear when he had the artwork done on his leg, but it was on show when he played for City in yesterday's victory.
Pep Guardiola hailed Sterling's performance and wants the former Liverpool man to sign a new contract with the Etihad outfit.
Sterling is thought to be holding out for a new deal worth around £300,000 a week.
But City boss Pep said: "We are delighted with him and would like Raheem to stay.
"We'll do our effort to make him feel we count on him. And we do count on him.
"In the end the agents may not have agreements and that may not happen. But he knows and his agent knows we like him and want him a lot.
"People only judge players on the goals scored at the World Cup, but Raheem has this special relation with English football, he's so loved in the locker room."
Sterling's performances in Russia received mixed reviews, but Pep insisted: "He did some very good things in the World Cup, moving well and creating space for others.
"He trained just one week but we needed him today, and he did so well except when he was very tired at the end."
