- Matteo Darmian is ready to rejoin an Italian topflight club this summer
- The Italian defence ace is currently ranked behind the likes of recuperating Antonio Valencia and Diogo Dalot
- Manchester United want prospective suitors to cough out the £13m they splashed in 2015
Manchester United fullback Matteo Darmian is currently in Italy this week as he attempts to rejoin an Italian topflight side this summer.
According to a Tribal Football report citing Manchester Evening News, the Italian defence ace was in the thick of the action for 90 minutes in their 2-1 win over Leicester City on Friday, but is presently ranked behind the likes of recuperating Antonio Valencia and Diogo Dalot at the Old Trafford outfit.
The report further revealed that the trio of Juventus, Napoli and Inter Milan are keeping vigil on the defence ace but Manchester United chiefs will only sanction the deal if the bid meets the club’s evaluation.
Interestingly, the Red Devils signed Darmian from Torino for £13million in 2015 and they cannot let him leave without recovering the same amount of money.
The Italian defender has been staying in a hotel in Manchester city centre since resuming from vacation with his wife still in Italy.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Manchester United star Paul Pogba reportedly wants more backing at Old Trafford to remain at the English topflight.
According to a UK Express report citing sources at the Telegraph suggests the Spanish side want the Frenchman to be their final buy in the summer transfer window.
At the last count the Nou Camp dwellers have sealed deals for the likes of Arthur Melo, Clement Lenglet, Malcom and Arturo Vidal.
