Norwegian youngster Martin Odegaard is expected to quit Real Madrid on loan after being snubbed from the Los Blancos squad for the UEFA Super Cup.
According to a UK Sun report citing sources in Spain’s AS, the 19-year-old Norwegian is set for another loan spell and could be heading to the United Kingdom.
Los Blancos new boss Julen Lopetegui and the rest of the team are in Tallinn, Estonia for the showdown against city rivals Atletico on Wednesday.
However, the Norwegian was the only squad member from the first-team to be left behind.
Already, two Championship teams Aston Villa and Derby coached by Frank Lampard are making moves to land the playmaker who recently returned from a 18-month loan move at Eredivisie side Heerenveen.
Zinedine Zidane's replacement at Santiago Bernabeu, Lopetegui, wants Odegaard to spend time in the Championship as he believes it will be good for his development.
Odegaard was in action for the Los Blancos during pre-season, the club he joined at the age of 15 in 2015.
Derby and Villa are keen to have Odegaard in their squad to help pursue their Premier League quest.
