It said the sack of Daura by Osinbajo will serve as a deterrent for others.

The group said the “ACF urged the Federal Government to thoroughly investigate the immediate and remote causes of the NASS invasion by the DSS personnel in order to unveil the truth and to sanction all those found culpable, no matter their status both within and without the service.

“And because the punitive measure was never taken against those involved in similar episodes in the past, it has encouraged the DSS to do what it recently did to the NASS.”

It also noted that the rancour between the National Assembly and the Presidency was affecting the growth of the nation.

It therefore “appealed to the executive and the legislative arms of government to sheath their swords and avoid flexing of unnecessary muscles for the sake of the ordinary Nigerians.”

Meanwhile, The DSS on Monday, August 13, denied the claim that N21 billion and some Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) were found in the house of its sacked Director General, Lawal Daura.
