- Ronaldinho has claimed that Mohamed Salah will be challenged by Harry Kane and Aguero for the Golden boot award
- The Egypt international was in fine form for Liverpool scoring 32 goals in the Premier League last season
- But the Brazilian football legend believes Salah will have to fight hard this season to retain his award
Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho has made it clear that Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah may find it hard to retain the Golden boot this season in the Premier League.
Salah walked away with the individual accolade after an outstanding campaign last term in which he racked up 32 goals in the Premier League and 44 goals in total in all competitions.
This season, the Egypt international has scored a goal and Ronaldinho believes Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and Tottenham forward Harry Kane will challenge him this term.
“Mohamed Salah is brilliant and has the opportunity to become the top scorer of the Premier League for a second consecutive season.
“He will have a hard time competing for the Golden Boot due to the presence of outstanding players such as Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane,'' Ronaldinho explained according to Express UK.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah on Sunday, August 12, showed a kind gesture to a young pitch invader in his club's Premier League win over West Ham United at Anfield.
A young fan invaded the pitch prior to the end of the game, but Salah dealt with the situation in a brilliant way hugging the youngster, chatting to him, and quickly and kindly escorting him off the pitch.
