- Barca boss Valverde reveals he is interested in signing French star Paul Pogba
- The Spanish League side made a bid for the World Cup winning star but it was rejected
- Pogba is said to be unhappy at Man United and will be open to a move away from the club and the manager
Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde is reportedly not giving up on signing Manchester United star Paul Pogba.
The Catalans made an effort to sign him earlier this summer but the Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho denied the move from happening.
Pogba looks unsettled at Old Trafford following the feud with the Portuguese tactician dated back to last season.
However, the former Chelsea boss has come out to deny the fact that he has never been happy with the 2018 World Cup winning star ahead of his side's EPL clash against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Meanwhile, Barca boss has confirmed his interest in signing the French star, but insisted that they will pay respect to Man United over the highly-rated talisman.
The Camp Nou outfit were reported to have offered a player-plus-cash deal for Pogba - and agent Mino Raiola is still keen to push a deal through.
But Valverde told reporters at a news conference."We do not get into discussions about players of other teams.
"We want them to respect our players and we respect those of others."
NAIJ.com previously reported that Manchester United have denied the bust-up report between the club boss Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba, saying the pair have a good relationship.
Sky Sports report that Mourinho had warned the France World Cup winner not to speak out to the media and he should request for a transfer if he is unhappy with the Old Trafford outfit.
The report further hinted that the Red Devils snubbed an offer for Pogba from Barcelona earlier in August and despite handing the Frenchman the skipper’s armband for their Premier League's opening win against Leicester, his comments after the game suggested all was not well at club.
