Top music maestro, Yinka Ayefele, has reacted to the demolition of his Music House by the Oyo state government.
Sharing heartbreaking pictures from the demolition, Yinka Ayefele took to his Instagram page to pour out his heart. He wrote: "Oyo state government did at last.....my pain my sweat..so help me God."
According to reports gathered by NAIJ.com, a bulldozer arrived at the premises of the Music House which also houses Fresh FM around 4.30am on Sunday, August 19, in company of a full white hummer bus of officers of the Nigerian Army and mobile policemen.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that the demolition exercise affected the staircase connecting the entrance to the music hall, reception, newsroom and an office adjacent to the office of the chairman.
Further report claims that the operation was meant for total destruction, but the operator of the bulldozers stopped when it’s fork tampered with one of electric poles at the adjacent road behind the office, for fear of electric shock.
Recall a while ago, the state government had revealed their plans of demolishing the building stating that it is on the right-of-way for the planned 8-lane road expansion in Ibadan.
