A 2-year-old girl identified as Onyinyechi Okpala who was kidnapped four years ago has been found four years later.
Okpala had got missing on November 30, 2014, at an end of the year party hosted by her uncle named Taribo. She had attended the party with her mother in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
A search party was launched but all to no avail as Okpala had been kidnapped and taken to another state.
Luck finally shines on little Onyinyechi as on Monday, August 20, the little girl, who is now 6, was found by the Imo state police command.
The police had busted a child trafficking syndicate where a total of 11 stolen children were recovered from the suspects, among them a set of twins. Some of the kidnapped children have been identified by their parents.
The Imo state Police Command have revealed that they have arrested eight suspects in connection with child stealing and trafficking. The were arrested between 24/07/2018 and 17/08/2018 at Agbor Park in Benin City, Edo state and Imo state respectively.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that some armed bandits on Sunday, May 20, hit Kaduna state where they kidnapped at least three women in Maganda village, Birnin Gwari local government area.
Daily Trust reports that the kidnapped women were wives of one Adamu Nakwana, a popular businessman in Birnin Gwari.
The women were abducted in the early hours of the day, around 1.30am, when the unknown gunmen stormed Madanga village and headed straight to Nakwana’s house.
